Well it's a white Christmas and here i am playing in the snow, i love playing in the snow at this time of year.

But wait a minute who's this in my front garden ? It certainly isn't Santa !!!

It is Christmas time and i have to sit and wait patiently, for any scraps of turkey i might get from these two pigs !

Don't know why he wants to wash all those pots ! Just put them all on the floor and i will lick them all clean !!!

There is another new member to the Denby Dog Club. She goes by the name of Molly and she is a Bijon, she is also Cracker's new favourite, because Cracker is no longer the smallest. Here she is with her human companion the lovely Lynn.
She is supposed to be a lovely white but thanks to Cracker, she's mucky. Molly that is not Lynn !!!
So here's a full team photo from left to right Dotty, Poppy, Cracker, Me and Molly, that's all five of us.

Always being one to help, Simon and Clare are always on the look out for some solid fuel for the old AGA, but i might have to try and find some smaller pieces !!!

When walking after rain, one thing you should remember as a dog is, if you haven't yet learned to swim avoid puddles that look a little too deep and you think you might not be able to reach the bottom. Now this could be a problem if those stupid humans take you somewhere that you are left with just two options 1. Take the plunge or 2. whine like a baby !!!

Here's my friend Poppy being left to choose her options.

Here's a little video of Poppy plucking up courage to go for it after first whining like a baby !!!

In the meantime Cracker certainly has a sniff of something, perhaps a drowning rat ???
Saying that i can't smell anything i'll leave her to it.

Here we are Poppy, Cracker and I out walking while the owners are working, well when i say working Poppy's owner, Simon, wasn't working of course that would be just too unbelievable !!! Me and cracker running around in mad circlesWhile Poppy sits there thinking what a waste of energyPoppy also sits there thinking climbing stiles is a waste of energy, me and cracker bound over with ease while Poppy sits there waiting for a lift !!!Then at the very end of the walk newly ploughed over fields so cracker gets filthy, Dawn's not gonna be happy cracker.

These are the pictures of me that were used at the cricket dinner, here i am fetching a ball that's been hit for six.

Denby bowlers are that bad, i called in reinforcements.
Lost the ball, but found this dodgy character.
Newest addition to the family, this is little Sid, yes another of the famous Labradoodle family.

Another day off, another good long walk. First port of call, Gunthwaite Dam. Amuch enjoyable 30 mins swimming a couple of black labs, Molly and Ashley along with about 150 canadian geese. Also learnt a new trick of diving in off the pier, FUN. Then it's onto Lady Joan's to meet up with Dotty the labradoodle. This is Dotty just look at her mop of curly hair. This is the first picture of all three of us together. Dotty, Poppy and myself.Looking at this one you wouldn't believe they were sisters.

This one took me by surprise. This is my new neighbour, Poppy, she is the newest member of the club. A Labradoodle belonging to Simon and Clare, and doubtless being terrorised by Emily and Sam.

Here she is whispering to me, "They think I'm cute now, wait until i start peeing and pooing everywhere !!".

Well he's having a few days off work, so him, Cracker and myself do a couple of legs of the Kirklees Way. This was Crackers f irst attempt at long distance walking, approximately 13 miles, let's say she passed with flying colours, but i bet she slept well when she got home. This is a boundary marker found in Yew Tree Wood between Shelley and Shepley.
This is a way marker specially designed for the Kirklees Way, erected at Jenkyn Lane, Shepley by Chris Campbell in 2002.

A view of Fulstone from above Shepley, clearly seen are old strip field systems, dating back hundreds of years when open land was enclosed by by act of Parliament, in fact i think it was called Enclosure Act.
You see the strangest thing, a Russian tank in someones garden, cold war started again ???
This is a view down to Meal Hill at Hepworth, built by Henry Jackson in the seventeenth century. He moved to Totties after an outbreak of plague in Hepworth yet the Muppet returned on a regular basis, so he built the bridge over the river, which is where the name Jackson Bridge is believed to have originated.
Lunch time, Cracker and myself having lunch in Morton Wood between Hepworth and Holme

This is Cracker reading directions above Holme Styes Reservoir, at another specially created Kirklees Way way marker called the 'Three Arches'

Then finally five and a half hours later a place we know well Digley Res, well done to Cracker, who knows next time he might take us even further !!!

Tuesday, 25 August 2009

Well today was his day off, so to start with it's a walk up to his mother's for the car, and oh look there's always a black sheep in every family !!! Then we went to look at 12 beautiful Labradoodle pups. I wanted to take one home to play with but at £500 each, the miserable old bugger said no.

Just adorable, the puppy, that is, not Charlie !!!This little beauty has already been spoken for, in a month from now she'll be pooing and peeing at Lady Joan's of Lower Denby. It will be funny if she bites the postman !!! The dog that is, not Joan !!!Then after all the excitement it's a dip in Ingbirchworth Res

followed by Yummy Yorkshire Ice Cream, at Delph House Farm Ice Cream Parlour, beautiful.

Dad i'm thirsty, any chance you can top up my water bottle !!!!

Wednesday, 15 July 2009

A pleasant walk with my good friend Cracker the Bedlington.
Now apparently Cracker can't swim, which makes following me into Digley Res a daft thing to do !!
But worry not, you Bedlington lovers, it turns out Cracker can swim, well she got out on her own anyway, he she is looking like a drowned rat. After walking up to Holme village there's a view of Holme Moss just above us and below a view down Holme Valley. A quick swim in Ridingwood Res, now if anyone is reading this from Yorkshire Water, i had to scale a 12 foot sheer wall to achieve this, any chance of dog friendly reservoirs. Then it's a look back across the valley to where we began in the distance Digley and ultimately where we are heading.
